Even if you were to win the lottery jackpot tonight, you still might not be able to afford Terry Dixon's house.

The humble abode, at Eagle Point, near the Thousand Islands Bridge at Ivy Lea, has been put on the market for a cool $18 million.

"The house exudes sheer luxury," said Scott Stren, the real estate salesman charged with selling the home.

It's well known in the area, Stren said, for the five waterfalls on the premises.

The property is owned by an automobile industry executive who lives in Colorado. It features a 14,000-square-foot home that was built two years ago using stone blasted out for the foundation.

Also on the 5.6-hectare property is a 7,000-square-foot guest house. The name Eagle Point is derived from the bald eagles that can often be seen from the house.

Dixon uses it as a summer cottage, flying in his Lear jet to the airport in Watertown, N. Y., before crossing the border at Ivy Lea, Stren said.

Although the house is on the Thousand Islands Parkway, it's shielded enough that there's minimal traffic noise, Stren said.

"Amazingly, there's no noise from the Thousand Islands Parkway and no noise from the bridge," he said. "It's not super close to the bridge, but you don't hear the trucks going over. It's in a protected bay."

The property is listed as having 13 bathrooms and eight bedrooms. The listing says it fuses "state-of-the-art technology with with old-world traditional charm."

About 7,000 hours of work were put into fashioning stone mined on site to be used for building the exterior walls of the house.
